A- Yes. All students participating in an OYAP Co-Op placement will be registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities as an OYAP participants which allows them to participate at the apprenticeship level, a much more complete experience than only co-op, which has liability limitations in the workplace.
A- Although all accumulated hours are available for credit, not all may necessarily be counted. The apprenticeship hours that will be credited to the student upon signing an apprenticeship agreement will be negotiated between the employer, the student and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
