  • Greet customers and discuss the type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease
  • Develop an understanding of hardware, lumber and building material so that you are able to advise customers on use and care of products and provide advice
  • Be able to estimate or quote prices, credit terms, trade-in allowances, warranties and delivery dates
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease in addition to pick up and delivery
  • Be able to assist in the display of merchandise
  • Maintain sales records for inventory control
